Our Vision:

Simply people… Serving to make a Difference.

Our Strategy:

Connecting people to God and to one another through service, worship, transformational growth, and everyday life.

We Value:

Transforming lives through Christ, as we seek to understand and follow him.

Praise-filled, culturally relevant worship that is focused on God’s unconditional love and forgiveness.

A culture that is open, accepting, and authentic, where people can question, be both challenged and comforted and grow through their struggles.

Committed, passionate people, giving and serving to transform their community and the world.

A church environment that fosters and promotes growth, development, and multiplication of faith-based leaders and ministries.

Our Welcoming Statement

Plainwell First United Methodist Church affirms that all people are created in the image of God, and, as beloved children of God, all are worthy of God’s love and grace.  We welcome the full inclusion of all people in the life and ministries of our church, as we journey toward reconciliation through Christ.  Plainwell First United Methodist Church is called to the ministry of reconciliation.

We embrace as a gift the diversity of our world.  We recognize and affirm our human family’s diversity of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, family structure, marital status, faith history, economic status, physical and mental ability, and education.

We also recognize that there are differences among us but believe that we can love alike, even though we may not think alike.  We proclaim this statement of welcome to all who have known the pain of exclusion or discrimination in the church and society.  We invite all people to join us in our faith journey toward greater love, understanding, and mutual respect.
