VOLUNTEER MISSION PROJECTS
MISSION WORK – Local
Contact Dave Kuitert if you would be interested in helping on local projects when they become known. This is a great opportunity for those who want to help on work projects, but find it difficult to travel out of town.
Christian Neighbors Soup Supper
Coordinates all that is needed to put on a soup supper here at the church building once a year as a fundraiser for Christian Neighbors.
Free Community Lunch – Coordinated by Carrol Tiller

All are welcome for lunch on Thursdays. Servants start working at 9 am, while lunch is served in the downstairs dining room from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. During the summer, kids also enjoy programs and activities just for them.
Mission Work Team – Coordinated by Dave Kuitert
Coordinates work trips to various destinations and any local repair projects.

Scrip Sales for Mission Trips – Coordinated by Mary Surine
Volunteers sell, order and tally the purchase of gift cards from a variety of local businesses at the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings. These businesses in return donate a percentage of the sale of their gift card back to our church which helps fund the Mission trips.
Landscape Committee
This group works on the grounds around the church building.
Soldier’s Angels – Coordinated by Heidi Hale
Sending letters, cards, drawings and other stuff to a different soldier each month.
Plainwell Christmas Tree Project – Coordinated by Liz Jones
Coordinates the donation of gifts from our church during the annual community-wide Plainwell Volunteer Christmas Project. Many church volunteers also help with the sorting, wrapping and delivery of the gifts. When tags are available on the tree in the lobby, select a tag or two, shop for the child identified on the tag, and place your UNWRAPPED gifts underneath the tree.
Refugee Outreach Team – Kathy Brown, Team Leader

This team helps refugees settle into the community, assisting with housing, transportation, learning English, medical issues, school for kids, introducing people to resources in the community, budgeting and paying bills, and whatever else is needed.
